Sarah Ozog is a Ph.D. student at Simon Fraser University’s School of Resource and Environmental Management. Her research explores the co-existence of climate policy and multilevel government commitments to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. She aims to advance a framework for climate policy integration in the natural resource sector and propose new concepts into existing climate policy evaluation criteria that is based on the recognition of Indigenous rights in Canada. Over the years, Sarah has had the fortunate experience of working directly for Indigenous Nations, their NGO’s, local and Provincial government, and the private sector, gaining a unique perspective on resource and environmental management in British Columbia. Today she is convinced that increasing the dialogue on climate change can help constructively stimulate not only increased conversation but necessary collaboration on more sustainable resource development solutions to the issues that face us all.
Sarah Ozog is a Research Partner in The Economics & Environmental Policy Research Network project.
