Ziqiao Chen is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Public Administration of International Affairs and a Graduate Associate at Center for Policy Research at Syracuse University. His research interests are in the areas of energy policy and environmental policy, particularly in how energy and environment issues and their governance shape local and regional economy. His current projects apply GIS and econometric methods to examine how state incentives for renewable energy and local resources affect the location of new wind farms, and how schooling decisions respond to shocks to the local labor market during the shale revolution.
Ziqiao is providing research support for an EEPRN project entitled: “Can Green Government Spending Facilitate Employment Transitions in a Low Carbon Economy?”. This work will be complete under the supervision of David Popp.
