Paige Olmsted

EEPRN Student Researcher, 2018-2019

Paige is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability at the University of British Columbia. Paige has a multi-disciplinary background in biology, environmental policy, and public administration through her work and research at Columbia University's Earth Institute, the UN Environment Programme, and the Copenhagen Business School, where she is a founding member of their new Impact for Innovation Lab. Her PhD and ongoing research focuses on policy and program design at the intersection of ecological conservation and economic development, with recent projects spanning sustainable agriculture in South East Asia, mechanisms to motivate environmental stewardship in BC, and examining social finance strategies for conservation.

Paige is providing research support for an EEPRN project entitled: "Feasibility and Design of Crowd-Funded Conservation Impact Investments in Canada". This work will be completed under the supervision of Kai Chan.
