Francesco’s research focuses on long-term trends and structural transformations, with a particular focus on the green transition. His recent research is on the analysis of green labour, developing a new task-based measure of green employment, as well as on the evaluation of the labour market impacts of energy taxes, green subsidies and other environmental policies, both in a single country and in a comparative perspective. He is currently working on an evaluation of the labour market effects of the green part of the US American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, on measuring the green economy using product-level data for EU countries and on the economic and environmental performance of French manufacturing companies.
