In an economic downturn driven by the COVID-19 health crisis, recovery investments that support growth while also improving human health, and environmental outcomes are essential for fostering long-term resilience in line with the objective of building back better. This research has analyzed and assessed the potential for a range of investments in a green economic recovery to drive positive health outcomes. These two reports analyze potential investments based on their environmental and health benefits: One compares the potential environmental and health benefits of making different investments in a green recovery across three Canadian communities, while the other analyzes the health and health equity impacts of different green recovery projects to inform policymakers.
