Michaela is a PhD student at the University of Toronto in the Department of Political Science, a research assistant at the Munk Environmental Governance Lab, and a research associate at the China Institute at the University of Alberta. She has provided governance consulting to a variety of municipalities in Western Canada, and is also a contributor to the digital magazine, Policy Options. Previously, Michaela completed an MA in Political Science at the University of British Columbia, and a BA in Environmental Studies at the University of Alberta. In 2018, Michaela a winner of the International Policy Ideas Challenge hosted by Global Affairs Canada.
