Stefan Pauer is a climate and energy expert with experience in policy analysis and development. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in law at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. His interdisciplinary research draws on political science and economics as well as law, with a strong focus on producing results that are useful for practitioners involved in policy-making. Before his doctoral studies, he worked as a Policy Officer at the European Commission on the EU’s cap-and-trade system.

Stefan is providing research support for an EEPRN project entitled: " Border Carbon Adjustments in Support of Domestic Climate Policies: Explaining the Gap Between Theory and Practice". This work will be completed under the supervision of Kathryn Harrison.
