Sophie Bernard holds a PhD in economics from the University of Ottawa and is a full professor in the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. She is the head of the Policy Levers axis of the Quebec Circular Economy Research Network (RRECQ) and a main researcher of the "Sustainable Development" research theme at the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche en analyse des organisations (CIRANO).
