Ryan Cooke

SPI Research Fellow, 2019-2020

Ryan Cooke is a Student Research Assistant working with SPI's Policy Team. His research is mainly focussed on promoting clean growth and innovation in the agricultural sector, specifically regarding the economic and psychological barriers that prevent the adoption of various cutting edge conservation practices. Ryan is currently a student at the University of Ottawa working towards his Masters of Science in Environmental Sustainability. Before coming to the University of Ottawa, Ryan studied jointly in Human Resource Management and Psychology at Trent University. He became interested in environmental sustainability while working on a project to develop a Stormwater Management Fee and Credit Program for the Durham Region, and during his time as a member of Trent University's Environmental Advisory Board.
