Rebecca Babcock

Research and Communications Associate

Rebecca is a Research and Communications Associate at Smart Prosperity Institute. She completed a Master's in Bioethics and Health Law with distinction from the University of Otago in New Zealand. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.

After graduating, Rebecca conducted standard of care research in the healthcare sector alongside planetary health, public health, and humanitarian ethics research in the academic sector. She then transitioned to the environmental sector working in governmental, academic, and non-profit settings with a focus on communications, community engagement and education, and knowledge mobilization. She most recently led the design and implementation of Talk Climate to Me, Project Neutral's climate change course designed for women.

Rebecca is looking forward to bringing her communications and research skills to Smart Prosperity's Clean and Resilient Growth team and using these passions towards a just transition to a sustainable future. Outside of work, Rebecca likes gardening, crafting, and skateboarding.
