Miya is a Research Communications Assistant for SPI. Miya is currently completing her undergraduate degree in Environmental Economics and Public Policy at the University of Ottawa. She has also worked for Environment and Climate Change Canada on species at risk governance and, more recently, on Indigenous engagement and treaty issues in biodiversity policy. She is eager to be starting her career in these decisive years, during which she hopes to see a more circular economy and systemic shifts toward environmental justice.
