Martha McPherson is Head of Green Economy and Sustainable Growth at UCL Institute of Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP). At IIPP she oversees research, policy and citizen engagement in green economy and sustainable growth, with focus areas including green finance, decarbonisation, city and regional strategies and public and private sector capabilities. Prior to joining IIPP, she completed her Master’s in International Energy at Sciences Po in Paris, researching European institutional investment in climate change mitigation. She has also worked as a data analyst at 2 Degrees Investing Initiative in Paris, on projects including renewable energy investment and retail investors. Previously, as Director of Communications and Marketing at educational access charity The Brilliant Club, she helped build up the organisation’s external relations department, and she has also spent time in consulting, at strategic brand consultancy The Value Engineers.
