Lauren Crumley

SPI Research Fellow, 2018-2019

Lauren is currently working towards her Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability at the University of Ottawa. Originally from Vancouver, Lauren moved to Sackville, New Brunswick and attended Mount Allison University where she completed her Bachelor of Arts double major in Environmental Studies and International Relations. Her past research focused on Canadian and Indigenous law and the extent to which they protect Indigenous cultural and environmental rights. 

Lauren’s research with the Smart Prosperity Institute will focus on Ontario legislation pertaining to natural asset management in municipalities and identifying potential opportunities and barriers presented by it.
