Ayushi Shah loves spending time in nature, which led her to pursue a career in environmental sustainability and policy. She graduated from Western University with an HBSc in environmental science and biology. After graduating, she worked for two and a half years, holding environmental policy-related positions at a non-profit organization and at the provincial government. Following this, she pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Sustainability at the University of Ottawa. Here, Ayushi's master's research aims to understand which invasive species pose greatest threats to Canadian species at risk. At the SPI, Ayushi's focused on species at risk research in agriculture, forestry, and conservation finance.
