Afolasade Nubi is an innovative Environmental Engineer with over 13 years of extensive experience in environmental sustainability and waste management. Currently, she is a Doctoral student at the Institute of the Environment, University of Ottawa, where her research focuses on the role of businesses in creating a circular economy. Afolasade holds an MSc. in Environmental and Energy Management from the University of Twente, funded by NUFFIC. Her passion for protecting the environment and conserving natural resources drives her work in research, scientific publications, information dissemination, waste minimization, and circularity programs.
In addition to her technical expertise, Afolasade enjoys public speaking and networking, furthering her commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
Nubi is involved in a project called, "Building the Future: Fostering Low-Carbon and Circular Economy Transitions in the Construction Industry Through Policy Integration", with Daina Mazutis.
