Ali is a Ph.D. student in economics at the University of Calgary; his primary research interests include environmental and energy economics. His current line of research focuses on decarbonizing electricity sectors and transportation through renewable energies and electric vehicles. Ali holds a BA in Electrical Engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and an MA in Economics from the Sharif University of Technology, both obtained in Iran.
