Shannon Fournier

EEPRN and Greening Growth Partnership Student Researcher 2020-2021

Shannon Fournier is a PhD student with the Department of Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University. She began working with Open AIR as an MA student in Global Studies and Feminist Studies with SIDGS at the University of Ottawa. 

Shannon's area of expertise is in international criminal law and human rights law. She has coordinated national research projects on SGBV for the National Centre for the Prosecution of Animal Cruelty, the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity, and the Canadian Violence Link Coalition. Shannon is an active member of the World Society of Victimology and consults regularly on issues of SGBV at provincial, national, and international levels of policy and legislation
