Martin Olszynski

Associate Professor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law

Martin Olszynski is an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law. His primary research interests are in environmental and natural resources law and policy. Recent publications include an interdisciplinary article exploring the role of science in Canadian environmental assessment law published in the University of British Columbia Law Review. In 2016, he was appointed to the Council of Canadian Academies' Expert Panel on Integrated Natural Resources Management, whose report, "Greater than the Sum of its Parts: Towards Integrated Natural Resources Management in Canada", was published in April 2019. He holds B.Sc and LL.B degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, an LL.M from the University of California at Berkeley, and is currently pursuing a PhD in resource management at the University of British Columbia's Institute for Resources, Environment, and Sustainability (IRES).
