Date & Time: Thursday, April 22, 2021 - 1-2:30pm (EDT)
Location:  Online Event
Hosted by: The Diversity Institute (Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University) and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
Cost: Free, open to the public.

Join the Diversity Institute and Ontario Chamber of Commerce for an in-depth discussion on changes in Canadian manufacturing and why a skills agenda, with both basic and lifelong training systems, is the key to future-proofing these industries.

Manufacturing jobs are not evenly distributed across Canada, instead they are clustered across a handful of communities. There is also currently a shift to higher-skilled occupations within the manufacturing sector. Skills training, both on the job and in the classroom, is crucial to ensure workers are qualified for those jobs.
