Leigh S Raymond

Professor of Political Science, Purdue University

Leigh Raymond is Professor of Political Science at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University. Dr. Raymond’s research focuses on market-based environmental policies, including emissions trading policies to address climate change, most recently in his 2016 book Reclaiming the Atmospheric Commons from MIT Press. He has also done research on a wide range of other environmental policy areas, including energy conservation, environmental risk management, renewable fuels, conservation tillage, and biodiversity protection on private lands.

In 2018-19, Leigh was the Fulbright Visiting Research Chair in Sustainable Economy at the University of Ottawa.
